Fox has ordered a few more episodes, which is apparently the habit with fox.

They order several new episodes, and than either order more or renew later on, or something to that effect.

Whats wrong with FOX?I mean are they stupid?Tru Calling was a good show but yet they "killed" it are they planning the same with my ULTRA-FAVOURITE BONES?I think they should ask some fans before kill another show, don't you think?

Uh they aren't "killing" anything, did you not read what I just said?

If they wanted to kill Bones they would have it on a Friday evening slot, and wouldn't be ordering more episodes.

Harry, there is no question in my mind: FOX is really stupid.

Look how they treated the show Firefly -- they aired episodes out of order, stuck it in a terrible timeslot, and then wondered why no one was finding it. It gathered quite the cult following, but FOX still cancelled it after airing only 13 episodes (out of 15 filmed.)

FOX's way of thinking drives me up a wall. Figuratively speaking, of course. :D

Oh, don't get me on to Fox. So many times they have fabulously inventive and stylish programmes which develop the intelligent cult following they deserve, and then...well why do they take the shows on in the first place if they don't think they are going to cut the mustard? Even something as successful as Buffy received fairly short shrift from the network.

Harry (nice to meet you btw), I don't think Fox are going to axe Bones in a hurry. If they've ordered a number of eps in, it is exactly the positive outlook that Lore describes. Although I understand your puzzlement and worry that they wouldn't just commission the entire series. I find that strange too, but I suspect it's because as a native Brit I am used to a series running for ten episodes or less!

It's only really since becoming a fan of high-quality US shows that I have started to realise how very different the system is from the UK's. The others will tell you, Lore, how long they had to spend enlightening me on the very concept of sweeps. I still find it odd that Friday night is considered a death slot. It really isn't here!
