btw Chanel isn't my real name. Remember that i told u in my story that Zacks gf is named Chanel Montenegro (Angela's half sister). I'm Chanel coz i love Zack so much. My story won't be up for a while coz i have had a minor surgery on my right index finger so i can only type with one hand, which is so difficult. What's ur hotmail (if i can have it) so i can tell u so much more bout the story.

I for one still miss Zach like crazy. He's adorable and indispensable, not to mention, irreplaceable. While some of the other interns have had endearing qualities, none of them match Zach's, for me.

I hope Hart will finally conclude this miserable hiatus by bringing Zach back and vindicating him. One of my major complaints with the show is that they left us hanging in that department, and for a long time now. Zach told Sweets he didn't actually kill anybody and I think it only fair they explore that and settle it once and for all, even if they don't bring Zach back permanently. jmo.

'the brightest don't go into law they go to the Jeffersonian' which is exactly what Zack did.

Zack is my stud muffin :romance-heartsthree:

"So..I was wondering....how does everyone feel about Zack's departure from the show."

I know I'm resurrecting an old thread, but I believe most of you know by now that I'm watching Season 1. I have known about Zack leaving the show and so I thought that knowledge would ease the blow. The Skull in the Desert scene with Dr. Goodman and Zack was heart-wrenching. If I didn't take this episode well, I'm not looking forward to the future ones. Of course I'll watch them, but I don't know what shape I'll be in at the end.

I'm so sorry you had to see this thread before you were ready!!! I promise it'll be ok, try not believing us right now haha!

It's not anyone's fault. I just didn't know that I would emotionally connect with him so much. Isn't it silly that I identify with fictional characters? See, I identify with him with his social/romantic challenges and we're both interns whose time is almost up. Once mine is done next month, I'll be dropping to volunteer status again. I won't have employment and once this economy allows me to get a job, there's a good chance that I will be waking up from my dream of working at a radio station. With Zack, we can only imagine what he moved on to. I'll be okay. I'm just a little too sensitive right now. I know I can talk things out with you and the others if I have issues. Thank you for caring.

Totally.
We'll always be here for you, Kelly.

Btw - not silly at all to identify with fictional characters, especially if they are rounded, believable and well-written. Sometimes we work things out for ourselves by looking at others' situations, be they real or imaginary. I used to write cartoon books about characters that represented certain facets of myself, and used them to work through problems, though I wouldn't call them works of literature or even graphic novels - how much more of ourselves can we then put into the books we read or the shows we love?

Hey, i know exactly how you feel. When Zack left i got so upset. He was and is still my favourite character. I refuse to watch any Bones episodes that have sad Zack scenes except for 'The Purple Pieces in the Purple Pond' and 'The End in the Beginning'. those are good episodes.

Kelly, just try to brace yourself. (You sound like me.) At least you have a bit of warning, which actually can give you the chance to prepare yourself. I was sooo upset when Zach left. But fortunately, he has popped up in a few episodes here and there. My personal preference would be for him to come back, permanently. He was just such a perfect and irreplaceable addition to the ensemble recipe.
I'm still hopeful.

On twitter Eric Millegan (Zack) said that he's considering coming back to Bones.

Actually he said he would consider it. He didn't say he IS, because I don't think its been offered. I don't believe they'll ever do that, as much as a lot of us would like it to happen. If it does, I'll be happy to say I was wrong and jump up and down with joy at the same time though! LOL

Yes, I'm preparing myself and I know what you all mean about him coming back periodically. On Bones Weekends last night, I saw a newer episode with him in it. I was kind of surprised. At first I thought I was watching one of the season 1 episodes that I hadn't seen yet (I'm on 19), but when Brennan told Booth that Angela rejected Hodgins' marriage proposal again, I knew it wasn't. Zack changed his hair in this episode. He still looked good, but I could tell that the character was being portrayed more grown up. His relationship with Hodgins was kept the same and I'm glad about that. Those two are like a comical duo. If Eric is offered a chance to come back, I'll be happy too, but perhaps the Bones chapter in his life is over and he has something better or different in his future. I'll be happy for him no matter what.

That wasn't actually a new ep... that was during Season 2. Of course, it's still new to you, I suppose. :D

I was a bit disappointed in the short haircut. I generally prefer longer hair (it was nearly heartbreaking when Hodgins cut off his gorgeous curls). Eric has actually grown it back out since leaving BONES, so in his post-departure cameos, it looks more like the floppy 'do from season 1.

Regardless of short or long hair, I like Zack. Same with Hodgins. What I get a little upset about is when the facial hair comes off. Of course, Zack never had any, but that feature on a man does get my un-divided attention. Hodgins doing the trim thing is fine with me, but if I see it gone, then you can expect me to be upset. Thank you for the heads-up that I can expect to watch this weekend's episode again soon. I'll be sure to watch it again and see if I enjoy it more the second time around.

Awww, I think TJ looks even better with a trimmed beard, It shapes his face a little better to me, though I'd love to run my fingers through his curly hair :D

I think we should all come up with ways that Zack can possibly come back.

"GULP" (Trying to contain my initial reaction to your feeling)

I don't like this thought/feeling/idea, but thinking from a writer's perspective, that scenario would boost ratings. It may bring in hate mail, but it would add buzz for the show. Just think of it from a writer's perspective and maybe that'll ease the feeling you have. It is with me. For example, look at all the buzz CSI: Miami got when the writer's decided to kill off one of the major characters. Even though Zack isn't a major character anymore, he's still well loved by the fans.
