I like the name Aidan. Though I have noticed in the last few years that you hear it a lot more than usual. I have a great-nephew named Aidan. :D

You have a great-nephew?! Wow. You'd get along great with my mother - she says she's too young to be "Grandma" so she chose the moniker of "Mimi" instead.

I've liked the name for years and it was the only one that wasn't outright loathed or already taken by a family member. Jack was, unfortunately. :(

BAHAHAHAHA Are you saying I'm as old as your mother? ;)

Actually my sister is 10 years older than I am, and her son (my nephew) is 10 years younger than me, so he has a child, my great-nephew. :) I have a big family, the age range of my nieces/nephews ranges from early 30's to 11. :)

Not necessarily :) It's so hard to gauge age, you kept speaking of classes and nitwit that I am, I figured, "Oh, hey, she's about my age or younger!"

Except my siblings are all younger than I am.

Oh, and my mother's in her early 40s. :) I think she was a great-aunt by adoption at 33?

I met a guy once who had HIS son at 12, who then had a child at 17. The guy was a grandfather before he was 30. I couldn't believe it. (And then I ran away from that guy.)

The guy had a child at 12 years old??? Holy crap. I can't even imagine. I would not have been able to handle such a thing at that age. That's unreal.

Thanks for the comment! And trust me--inner city kids are not the only ones who come up with some serious crap! :)

Enjoy the site.

Oh boy, I really have to catch up on the posts on here so I know what's been going on in your lives.

I have been busy, then sick, then busy again and this week and the next I'm on part time vacation.

What#s new? Mmmh... I became addicted to House MD while being sick (House and Cuddy are so damn cute), I'm thinking about buying a kindle, I signed up for the Nanowrimo and can't decide if I write in English or German.

Right now, and for most of the day I've been watching the rescue of the chilean miners and they had me in tears more than once, but also made me laugh. When the second guy cheered on the others or when it was revaled that the mistress of one had met his wife and got into a fight with her... found that kind of funny.
But mostly I am happy and grateful that everything seems to go well and hopefully they'll all be out healthy by tomorrow.

Hi everyone

Just a quick catch up, haven't been on for a while. Everything is pretty much same old, same old. Yesterday was not good as Alex's cat, Louis, died and he was most upset.

Today has been pretty chilled except for the arachnid from hell which has decided to join the family. If anyone's seen my FB status they know there is a bit of a stand off going on as I won't actually touch it to evict it and I don't do bodily harm to any living creature knowingly (kinda goes with the veggie territory) so we're kinda stuck with observing each other from opposite sides of the room!

I wrote an article about Eddie Mc/Warehouse 13/Reunion 8 (the convention I went to) and sent it the Mensa magazine so I'm waiting to see if it gets published. I've been given a book of poems to read by one of the guys in work so think I may delve into that tomorrow. It's Sylvia Plath, long story concerning a W13 epi and Sylvia Plath's typewriter got me curious and Joe said he had the book so I'm going to give it a go.

Most importantly Bones is back on Wednesday on the TV so I can catch up. I was debating watching on line but with only having the netbook now its not the same. Anyway, despite that fact that Warehouse 13 is now officially my fave TV show (sacrilege I know) I'm looking forward to catching up with all the characters and to writing some reviews on here.

I'm really looking foward to the TJ chat too so I'll see you all there, question at the ready.

Lastly, and no-one will get this bar Steph probably but I am REALLY thankful that LFC are well away from the most devious pair of cowboys ever

Catch you later

WARNING! If you DON'T want to read anything STUPID, please go further and read another post!

So, let me tell you what's the latest stupid thing that happened to me last night... LOL

I was sleeping, pretty bad because of my failed friday night, but felt well under my warm blanket, covered by cats (yes, we have 4 at home so when they sleep on me they really cover me...).

Then, at 2:36 am I woke up with a terribly uncomfortable sensation... What was that? I had my leg wet... Ewwww! One of the cats peed on me!!!

I had to get up, change my bed, then have a shower and sleep without a blanket... Grrrrrrrrrr!!!! CATS!!!!

And I don't even know why she did this to me...

Aaaah... Life... LOL

End of this interlude... :D You can go back to your normal life

Hi, Jude. First, I'm so sorry about the kitty. My condolences.

As for "Warehouse 13," I love it too, & I can forgive you the sacrilege because I spent the summer with the new Syfy show "Haven" gradually working its way to number one in my heart (I've already come up with 7 T-shirt designs for it, & 5 "Pieces of Flair" on FB. lol). "Bones" hovers at second out of loyalty, but "Warehouse 13" is coming in at a close third. Speaking of which, ThinkGeek has a pumpkin pattern contest going right now, & my Tesla design is one of about 30 that has a mention on their page! http://j.mp/9QdXAh

---

Poor Vero, waking up to kitty pee. Perhaps their box wasn't clean enough for them? I've heard that will cause cats to go elsewhere... or perhaps it's a bladder infection, or just a bad dream. Whatever the reason, I hope it doesn't become a regular occurence for you.

I suspect some lazyness rather than anything else...

Hi everyone

Thanks for the condolences about Louis.

The spider situation is ongoing, it's steadily making its way to the centre of the room bit by bit which is not good; I have tried telling it to keep to its area but spiders apparently don't speak scouse.

On a positive front I am thinking of doing an online course with the London School of Journalism it looks really good, teaches you about all sorts of articles and some script writing and goes in to all the legal aspects of reporting. Its £295 but I think it would be worth it.

Yay Jade another Warehouse fan; if you're on FB look me up and have a look at the photos of Eddie Mc at the convention I went to (I've had major stick about the one with me apparently it looks like I'm not letting go!). I love the characters in the show especially Claudia as she is just like a young version of me in that she could cause bother in an empty room (unintentionally of course). According to one of those fun online personality things though I'm more of a Pete!

Anyway match is starting soon so come on you Reds!!!!

Catch you later

I'm so sorry, Jude.. Just realized that I forgot to give my regards as to Alex's cat.. I hope it died peacefully.. Give my love to Alex the next time you see him. :(

As for the spider, I hope you'll win that battle.. If it was me, I had taken out the vacuum and hunted it down, then despose of the sack into the nearest dumpster, which unfortunately is situated right at our front door..

Good luck with the online course - would love to read your article on Eddie :-)

The match against the two Merseyside rivals, Everton and Liverpool - saw 10 min total.. Congrats to Everton fans, which is said very reluctantly.. RH must do something now, this can't go on forever! A really sad season for the Reds..

See ya later.. :-) Say hi from me..
