Hello all you wonderful people. Your support is deeply appreciated and I am much moved by your kind words and those of the people who have taken trouble to email me with concern and encouragement. Thank you thank you thank you so very much, I love you all.

The week has been edgy and difficult. On Tuesday son no.1 was examined and interviewed by a consultant. He is being booked in for an MRI scan in a couple of weeks, when we should know more, and in the meantime has been prescribed a low dose of the meds I take regularly, to keep the seizures at bay; they are often used as mood stabilisers also. He is nervy and frightened; back at work today, he was continually worrying that it might happen again - and so, at my own workplace, was I! He says he feels 'weird' but I think this is probably his body adjusting to a new drug. As Sherry rightly says, the worst is not knowing. It may not have a cause - just a change in brain function - or it could be a type of seizure that isn't actually epilepsy related - or it could be a symptom of some other nasty condition. We'll all be a lot happier when we know. We can cope with epilepsy, Lord knows I have for the last 45-odd years.

This has clashed with a massively high-profile official report on our church. It's been in the national news. It is a very depressing little litany of a small organised but influential group of people who didn't like the way our new pastor was doing things and pretty much hounded and bullied him out. This group has been heavily criticised by the bishop who wrote the report after intensive investigation and endless interviews. Of course the media have hopped on the gravy train of one of the small things the new guy tried to do (limit the number of occasions on which the congregation drink alcohol - fairly reasonable, I think) and is portraying the controlling group concerned as a load of wealthy binge-drinkers. Which is not the point. But it has divided the church hugely between the priest's supporters and those who were so keen to get rid of him that they apparently withdrew their financial giving to the church in order to make the point! For those of us in the middle of it all as well as the newspaper furore, it's a miserable experience (firmly on the side of the priest here - he is a lovely, spiritual man - but some of the people who wanted him out have been my friends. For years.). Apparently we will continue to be closely monitored by the diocese for the next 18 months to ensure that we are starting to become a proper outreaching church and not a bigoted social club. The priest will stay for that period with our sister church, who welcomed him with open arms and have had no issues with any changes he chose to make. After that he has to go, poor man, unless the link is broken between our parishes.

So, an addition emotional burden in so many ways. I've had a bizarre week. Again, so grateful for your caring. :romance-smileyheart:

Steph, fingers and everything crossed for your son. Hope you all know soon what's the problem and hope it can be solved in a good way! Sorry I haven't been here sooner. Have a lot on my mind with my job. Wanna change things but nothing comes up. There is nothing I can write an application to. And at work it's getting worst. I'm more a quiet, calm and -at least I think- a nice person. So I don't know what to say in the right moment. Or I'm scared to say something. Or I don't wanna say something to not make any trouble. There where moments where I thought I just gonna quit but I need the money. It's a vicious circle. All I know for sure is that I am not happy at the moment and I can't do anything about it! But enough about that! Sorry again I didn't come here earlier! Lots of hugs to you, Steph! :romance-smileyheart:

Sharon, again, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :banana-dance: :text-woo: So proud of you! *hugs* Fingers crossed for the final test! :happy-cheerleadersmileygirl: :romance-smileyheart:

Sharon, that's absolutely fantastic! I hope you are celebrating vigorously. Have you told TJ? So happy for you. Also, don't worry about the math, you will ace it. Thinking of you!

Simone, as always frustrated that I can't just zoom over and give you a huge hug. Please look after yourself and don't undervalue yourself for one minute; you are a strong, intelligent and wonderful lady whom anyone would be delighted to employ if there were any jobs to be had (same problem round us, hence our 2 young men still living here instead of out exploring the world as they should be). Things will get better.

Hey guess what?
We get Bones 9.01 on Wednesday. At last. I do grab at the odd cheerful little straw.

Hi all... :-)

First of all I want to appoligize for my absence lately.
Simone - a very belated Happy Birthday :-)
Sherry - congrats on finishing school and if I understood correctly found a job?
Sharon - congratulation on passing your tests, didn't know you were working on becomming a teacher (that's the problem of not stopping by more often :-) )
Steph - I am so so sorry to hear abt son no. 1. My thoughts and prayers are with him and your family. I hope that the MRI and test will give an explanation to why he is having these seizures.

While I am writing this post - the cheerleader icon is acting like she's on speed or some other drug.. or is it just me... ;-) she's moving to fast for my liking.
So what's going on in my life.. for the last 3 weeks I've had a minor injury on a back muscle which was painful as hell, not able to walk properly or sleep.. hurt a lot just to turn over in bed or the couch or to sit still or stand.. haven't been to the gym for that time and I miss it a lot.. However the doctor just gave me the clear to return - so I am going on Monday.
Besides the injury, I am currently attending a 6 week "mandatory" course of my own choice and loving it.. We have a great class, everybody gets a long very well - it's an accounting class.

Oh btw I got a job interview on Monday.. I applied for a job at this company but they had some others in mind for it, however they had an opening in one of their branches, so they thought of me for that one. The job would be issuing mostly invoices (that's what I know so far) hope to get more info Monday :-) I'll let you know how it goes.

Got to go.. love you all

Well Steph I didn't tell TJ but I had put it in my Facebook status and he commented on it so I guess he knows! LOL First time he's ever commented on anything I've put on Facebook so it was a bit surprising. HAHA

Hanne, I'm glad you get to go back to the gym. Take it slowly though you don't want to hurt yourself again! And fingers crossed for you for the job interview!

Sherry, I didn't even say CONGRATS on the job! That is great!

Simone, I agree with Steph, you are a lovely person, don't let people make you think otherwise!

Thanks Hana for the congrats. :)

Congratulations Sharon! I'm sure you'll do as equally well or better on the math portion. :D

Steph, I'll be keeping you and your family in my thoughts and will be sending positive vibes your way. :)

Yay on the job Sherry, and good luck on your job interview Hanne! Also, glad you're better and able to go back to the gym. I've decided that I need to be healthier too and I'm starting with eating better and mild exercise since I'm currently not exercising at all. LOL! Hopefully I'll stick with it. :)

G'day. I'm Jules.. just Jules. I don't feel shy or embarrassed so I'm using my name. I am who I am as you will probably find out. I'm in my 50's, 54 to be precise. I don't care about age. It's a number that doesn't come close to defining who I am. I have friends across every decade pretty much. I'm a bit odd and a bit wacky. I'm told I have a very funny streak in me. I tend to refer to that as blurtitis, complicated by idiocy. I say pretty much whatever comes to mind. I do say bloody a lot. I'll try not to but I may not succeed.

I've been married for 30 years this coming March, and we're celebrating it with a trip to the USA, renewing our vows in Vegas on the actual day of our wedding, so that will be a hoot! No pretty white dress. It's a jeans and leather jackets affair. My hubby may wear a dress, he hasn't told me what he's wearing. We're travelling right around the country over the course of 7 weeks visiting 13 cities, and then hitting Hawaii for a week to try to get ourselves ready for returning to real life.

I'm recently retired. Like really recently. Like, last week. :D Yes I'm thrilled about it.

I have three sons in their 20's who think I'm weird. But I adore them anyway.

I love writing fanfiction, vidding (Bones Vids are my thing and I vid under the name joolzac5 with the JZ5 watermark) and generally being out there on social media.

My friend Pam from Blog Talk Radio - Castle Bones Randi put me onto your site and here I am!

At this point I usually apologise for myself in advance. ;)

Cheers!
Jules

Hello everybody :)

It's been ages since I sat on this sofa and chat a bit with you all :)
Well It's all for good because it means I have no time for this, which means I am working :)
Oh well, working is a big word as I'm having a lot of fun doing what I do ^_^
So for the moment, I'm working in a gorgeous guest house, and I'm painting various marbles in different rooms. So cool :)
I have another work planned for someone else in another town for when I'm done with this one, which is pretty good news ;)

On a less fun note, my internet decoder seems to be dead :P I'm using my phone as a modem which allows me to post here and do some light searches on Internet. Luckily it didn't happen for the chat... ^_^ So I hope to have a new one as soon as my provider accepts to send me one :P
Which also means that I won't be able to watch tomorrow's Bones episode on internet. I hope to watch it next week... :P

Apparently I don't even know my own YouTube name :\ It's joolzac. It's a wonder I can tie my own shoes.

Talking about insanity - in the random thread - tonight is OSCAR NIGHT and I'm gonna stay up and watch it! Have a free day tomorrow. So it starts here at around 2 am until about 5 am. Then I'll go to bed. Need to get up at about 11 am so I can have a relaxed breakfast and then I have to go to the dentist.
Anyone watching it, too?
