Looking forward to your report. Curious what you will tell about London. It's a great city. Hope to spend some days there again, soon! Maybe you have time to watch a play or a musical!
Wishing you all the best! Take care!
Simone, I certainly will say "Hi" - so now it's you and Vero.. anyone else?
So you want a report - no problem.. I have been planing on telling you guys how the trip was..
I'm only in London for a day but I might return again at some point later in the year - maybe when we meet, we can take a trip to London..
That's a good idea, Hanne. Tell me when you are planning to visit London again. Maybe we can arrange to meet there!

Talking of bowling Tim reckons he can beat you so Alex has now got a £10.00 bet on you (no pressure then!)
That's a good idea.. start with bowling and then go into town for dinner etc..
Hmmm a bet.. can't wait.. no pressure at all.. better not drink while we bowle - that might ruin my chances of putting Tim in his place....HA HA HA
Okay I better work again.. feel like I got thousand things to finish before Friday..
Hi everyone! I posted in the fan gallery under the Media section about a graphic we are looking for-so hope all you creative people get to work and make it hard for us to choose!

Had a bad day and need some distraction! Nothing helps better to calm down then come to this site and chat with you, or just read your posts!
Sharon, looking forward to the banner. I'm not that creative or fit to do such things on a computer, so unfortunately I cannot participate.

His own band or the band that hired him?
His own band is called "Grooveway" and the band he just plays with is "Lichtpunkt". Personally I like his own band better because I'm not so fond of the singers voice in the "new one"

HODGINS: Well, hello, my exotic princess.
CAM: What a charmingly inappropriate greeting, Dr. Hodgins.
So, he plays in both bands. That must be a lot of concerts you have to visit, then. But I think it's fun, right?

Nah, not so many. He's still so young (17) so he has to go to school, wants to get his driver's license now and also he is organizing this big concert series where Rockbands play in a church. It was 3 concerts in the last 2 weeks, next one is in two weeks. Also I don't like every band he plays with. Then I just go when I have to drive him there or be there as a "legal guardian" for the night.
But this whole music stuff has made my childhood wish come back: I always wanted to learn how to play the piano, but wasn't allowed to. I ordered "Piano for dummies" now. Maybe I'll learn now that I'm old

I'm so sorry not to have been on since the Big Party, work has been mad. Mind you it looks as though everyone else was tired out too, as I have seen hardly any activity this week! I've missed you, both on the boards and the chatbox.
Hanne, it was delightful to meet you, we had a fabulous afternoon. Unfortunately I am not going to be able to make Saturday night as we are very busy over the next few evenings. Is there any other time we could meet up perhaps?
I have to tell you all I have just used Validation again in my yearly school assembly about making other people feel good, and it went down fantastically again. Kids walk out singing and smiling, and always clap along at the end. Spreading the TJ love folks!!

"We make our lives out of chaos and hope. And love." - Angela Montenegro
My grandmother's been feeling extra lethargic over the last week or so, and though it could be something simple, we worried it might be her heart or something, so my aunt brought her to the doctor this morning. My aunt just called me to let me know that they're not sure what the problem is so they're checking her into the hospital.
I'm not an organized religion sort of gal, not anymore, but if you are inclined to think positive 'good health' thoughts for someone, I would appreciate it for my grandma at this time. Thanks!
So sorry to hear about your grandmother. I hope they will find out what is wrong with her and that she'll get better soon.
My thoughts are with you and your grandmother.. I'm sending many hugs to you.
Steph, likewise. It was great to see one of our amazing Mods.. I had a wonderful time.. also on meeting your hubby and son no. 2. What an wonderfull family you got..
xoxo

I'm not one for organized religion, either, Sherry.
But my thoughts are with you. It's awful when family members have to be in the hospital.
I hope it's nothing.

Aha! Unidentified particulates. The two sweetest words I know.
So far: her lungs and abdomen are fine; those tests came back fine. But her white blood cell count was up, which apparently is indicative of some sort of infection, so they've got her on antibiotics, and an IV for hydration, and they're still running blood tests and keeping her overnight for some more tests tomorrow (gall bladder and liver).
My aunts have been really stressed out, so I've tried to remain calm and collected (even though I'm worried about my grandma too). It's not always easy, but I just keep taking deep breaths and try to remember that this is their mom and it's scary and they're not really impatient and short with me specifically -- it's just coming out that way because they're worried about their mother. You know? *heavy sigh*
Anyway, I thank you so much for the support and the positive thoughts. You are wonderful.
Haven't seen this before, so sorry to read about your grandma... So far she has doctors taking care of her, tell us how things turn out.
Big big thoughts for you and your family.
Hope things will get better soon...
I was just reading this article http://www.tribeza.com/columns/169.html
and I thought it had some really good advice for a single gal like me and thought I'd share if there are others on this site. I like this line in particular: ...love finds you when you least expect it, when you are busy and happy with other things. Be so distracted living your full, beautiful life that love has to tap you on the shoulder a couple times and clear its throat in order to get your attention.
That's what I'm trying to do anyway! Oh and I went and got my new license photo since going back to my maiden name and gave them a great big smile
Sorry to hear about your grandmother Sherry, hope she's doing better.

Thank you, Véro and AngMT, for your thoughts and well wishes for my grandma. And thanks, Sharon, for asking. I've been at the hospital every day, switching off with my aunts, spending time with my grandma and being there with her when they've run some of the tests. It's been a long week and it's probably only going to get more stressful...
She's still in the hospital, though they are going to let her go home at long last sometime today. After almost a week's worth of tests, we're still waiting for final results and a meeting with a specialist, but at this point it looks like it's a form of Lymphoma (cancer). I don't really know much more than that right now; we have to meet with her oncologist (probably next week Monday or Wednesday).
