A review of Shuffle.
http://www.riverfronttimes.com/2011-11- ... f-sliff/2/

Not a very good one-which is fine, it is his opinion but really, the best things he could pick out about TJ's work is that his "filmography includes bit parts in Erin Brockovich and Ghost World"? I don't understand that at all. :eusa-think: Anyway, I know where his "smaltz" comment is coming from but honestly Validation has more "smaltz" than Shuffle did. We all see different things when we watch things don't we? :)

I'm not going to read the review because I'd like to remain unspoiled and see the film on its own merits, if I get the opportunity. But I am insulted on Tj's behalf regarding the comment about his 'bit parts' and seeming lack of filmography.

First of all, has the guy SEEN Tj's lengthy résumé on IMDb?

And second of all, did he read Tj's bio here on the site?

Obviously not. Because anyone who looked at either of those would see what remarkable accomplishments Tj has made in his field. I am unimpressed with this reviewer, who seems to have not bothered to do his homework.

And finally... well, there is no finally, but I like things that come in threes. :D

And I would argue Tj's talent to anyone who dares say otherwise. That is not my bias talking -- that is FACT.

I have added dates to the homepage for screenings in Sedona, Arizona in February, and in San Jose, California in March. I'll keep putting them up as I hear about them so keep an eye on the homepage! :)

I've added a lot more, Cleveland, Asbury Park, NJ, Phoenix, Arizona, Omaha, Nebraska.

Just to clarify in case someone doesn't see my comments in the chatbox. Just because I've put the dates on the homepage, does not mean TJ will be there. Kurt Kuenne will be there for all of them except Omaha, Nebraska. "Some cast members" are possible but because of TJ's schedule it will be hard to know very far in advance whether TJ will be attending-because even if he currently plans to attend some of them that can change due to Bones filming. :)

Update on TJ's attendance at the announced Shuffle screenings. Right now, because of his schedule, he will not be attending any of the screenings. If his schedule changes and he is able to attend some of them, he has promised to update me and I'll be sure to post it here. :)

Links to the media releases about Shuffle being picked up for theatrical distribution:

The Variety article (same one that is linked on the homepage):

And a longer article on Movie City News:

TJ has had a good week, Bones season 8, Shuffle, and also some of the Moment Series made it into a couple more film festivals. I'd tell you which ones but TJ said he didn't know. :P But he was very excited about it all, there were at least 4 yays in the text message. :P

Well I have the best husband in the world, let no-one gainsay!

He's booked us in to see Shuffle in London next week. :D This is not only going to be a pretty expensive trip but a really awkward and at times probably uncomfortable one, but still....very exciting! :eusa-dance:

Apart from the Bank Holiday on Monday, everything was pretty much against us. There are works all over the rail system that weekend :icon-evil: and half of Liverpool will be attempting to get into London to see the FA Cup Final (already there have been massive complaints that anyone would choose to have the trains off, with various replacement bus services, when clearly hundreds of people will be looking to travel). There will be several changes of train and a lot of waiting around :( ; and we will have to stay in a hotel over the weekend and come home Monday. That said, we'll have most of Sunday to ourselves in London - privacy and restaurant meals together, which will be really nice :happy-cheerleadersmileygirl: . I didn't feel too optimistic about the logistics but the Best Beloved has come up trumps. And as Sharon knows, I was desperate to see that film! This is obviously the UK premiere and it's part of a cult sci-fi film festival, though I wouldn't really have classified it sci-fi myself.

I feel delighted and very bouncy! :happy-bouncygreen: :happy-bouncymulticolor: :happy-bouncycyan:

As you know I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOO thrilled that you get to go. :happy-bouncymagenta: :happy-bouncymulticolor: :happy-bouncygreen: I'm sorry it is going to be a pain to get there but so happy that you will get to see it. And other than the actual traveling sounds like a wonderful weekend! As for the sci-fi, I understand where they are coming from-think you'll know why it is being said to be "fantasy" mostly once you see it!. You'll also understand why it was hard for me to say much about the movie without spoiling things for others. I'm sure you'll love it and so glad someone else from here is finally seeing it! :happy-cheerleaderkid: Really looking forward to later this year when it is available in the U.S. and more of you can see it.

<<beaming smile>> Yes it's just wonderful! Really did think it wouldn't come over here.

The sci-fi thing - well I don't really think of fantasy as being essentially sci-fi, but that is probably my bad. I have always been well into both and I guess what I see as sci-fi is fairly hard core of the genre. Mind you, who am I to judge? I haven't even seen it yet!!!

Jade, thinking about what Sharon has said about the film, it might be difficult to tell you all about it without giving away what seems to be a surprise ending. Personally I am a total spoiler whore and prior knowledge actually enhances my enjoyment ( I read the endings of detective novels first!), but I know well that not everyone here feels that way. So I will try to let you know about the whole experience and review without telling. :)

I really want to watch this! It's along the types of movies I watch. I'm guessing I might not get a chance to, unless it ever shows in Alaska, they sometimes have movies festivals here in Anchorage. Only, I don't live in Anchorage, only have stayed the spring for school. I live in a very, very rural area, where lots of things don't reach. Which is one fo the reasons I'm thinking I'm not going to get to watch Shuffle. :icon-cry:

Never say never. I genuinely reckoned this was never going to come to the UK. And it has and I'm over the moon. Keep hoping!

ThyneAlone,
I didn't say never! Lol, I just said unlikely. My village that I live in and I don't have access to internet has about fifty people, can get there only by plane. I will be in Bethel working, and keep my ear out, if it shows at any of the Anchorage film festivals, I'll try my hardest to go in and see. It's a big hope though, Anchorage isn't exactly a big, big city like LA, London, or New York. There have been some amazing artists that have come to perform here in Anchorage though. So I'll keep my fingers crossed! :eusa-violin:

Actually the distribution deal (mentioned above) isn't just for theatrical release it turns out it is going to be available on Netflix and others like it, AND available on DVD according to a later article so even if you don't get it to come to Anchorage in a film festival there are going to be several options at the end of the year for people in the United States anyway. :)
