I agree that bringing back an unknown family member is a lame storyline, but writers already said they wanted to pursue this idea, and - basically - I know too that this speculation is not going to become reality (probably it's too complicated), but I would prefer something like that, than a brother coming from nowhere.
I know it would upset Hodgins (and it's not like I want to see him suffering!), but we had some of the best scenes from TJ when his character cared about something, was upset, and needed to make things right, and I want to see that! Badly.
I want to watch an interesting storyline for Hodgins, rather than something too trite.

I have really mixed feelings about this. On the one hand I am desperate for TJ to have something of some substance to ACT. I want to know as much about him as we do about the other characters' families - even Angela's! Brennan, who was familyless, has had quite a complex backstory created (yeah, yeah, I know she is the main character!! :P ): more importantly, so have several of the subsidiary characters, but we have rarely seen anything of Hodgins' background. We know more about Sweets' family than we do of Hodgins'. And a huge amount about Cam. So yes, I want equal treatment here. If family isn't available, why not former associates, ex-girlfriends? And why can't he have worries to do with his money?

BUT I am anxious, like Sharon, that Bones does not descend into soap territory, and I certainly think Pelant as a relative would be a bridge too far!! I don't really want to have a relative appear from nowhere, Eastenders-style. Can we not do something with the cousin with the bad rug?

Same here, BUT (LOL I'm annoying I know, sorry!), they already said the "brother storyline" is a done deal for Hodgins, that's why I hope something big is going to happen to him, because I want for him to have a big/surprising storyline, something every single Bones' funs is going to be caught up in.

Well, since the brother story is probably going to come about, I'm with Teresa and hope that it's something interesting for the Hodgins storyline. I hope it's not just the typical "long lost" brother who shows up out of nowhere. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how the writers decide to do it.

Oh, alright. Well, if we apply "master" and "apprentice" to Bones, the master ends up dead and the apprentice just ends up with burned hands in a mental hospital, so I'll take the mental hospital. :happy-smileyflower: :icon-lol: :icon-lol: :icon-lol:

I can live with that! Especially because after YEARS people will still say "We want Teresa back!" :icon-biggrin:

Did you see the second promo for the next episode? I'm beyond excited, Hodgins in the protective/vindicative mode is the best!

I saw that commercial for next week's episode. Definitely want to see it! I love intense Hodgins (and bad-ass Booth), so this looks like a big episode.

And anything that gives TJ something meaty to do is A-OK with me! :eusa-dance:

Don't know if this is really spoiler-y or not but just in case some people think so, I'm putting it here. Hart Hanson talking about season 8, 9, possibly 10...
