I'm excited and scared for the S9 finale... I don't know what to expect to be honest. I just hope my Hodgela will be okay Ohhh!! And TJ tweeted that he would like for Hodgela to have another baby - he prefers a girl this time! This makes me melt!! I hope they consider this in s10... I just want a good plot for Hodgela coz I feel like they're underrated.. like I know the show centralises B&B but still.. Idk. I just feel like that Hodgela storylines have died down a little bit. It's certainly not like what it used to be in S2 and S3. (and soz if i posted this in the wrong thread... a newbie over here hehe)

"The thought of losing so much control over personal happiness is unbearable... Like wings, they have weight... but they are a burden that lifts us. Burdens which allow us to fly."- Dr. Jack Stanley Hodgins IV (The End in the Beginning)
Some links to spoilers....I haven't read all of them so can't comment too much because I try to avoid too much of this stuff, but wanted to at least collect the links and put them here:
And here we go again...saying they are going to split...we hear that every year prior to the new season don't we?
I do have something to say about the link following, that it implies there will be a lot of Hodgins in the first couple of episodes, but don't expect that to be true, as one of the few things TJ has said to me since they've started shooting that he thinks the first episode is good but not a lot of Hodgins in it. And you'd think he would know-and he said this to me they day they completed episode 1. http://collider.com/bones-season-10-ste ... interview/
Although conspiracies and their ins and outs and side-changings do tend to muddle me, I am really pleased for TJ and Hodgins that his conspiracy knowledge is getting an airing without everyone thinking he's mad ("aliens don't wear loafers"!). It should give TJ something decent to get his teeth into again, I always want more, more, more for him!

Agreed - everyone always just thinks "oh here Jack goes again with his conspiracy crap... he's so paranoid" etc... well BOOYAAAAA B*TCHES coz Hodgins saved the day this time!! Cant wait to see more develop on this side of things... as Hodgins will have to play a central role in it because of how much he knows about conspiracies.
Ooh!! Somebody's going to be back in the 200th episode and I know some people around here aren't going to like it much, but I'm excited! LOL! (creepy pic, btw)
I didn't know whether this was speculation or spoiler really! I'm speculating about what I have yet to see but have heard about...
This Hodgins/Angela business, the suggestion of leaving for Paris which will apparently turn up the next ep I see? I'm thinking possibilities and I don't like any of them.
1) They're both heading off to pastures new and away from Bones. I might stop watching.
2) One of them is leaving. Involves a separation and I won't like that either.
3) It's a nasty red herring. A bit mean to the fans. But it's been done before with other scenarios.
Not particularly happy either that Pelant appears to be set for a re-appearance in the finale. For goodness' sake (and I stretch this heartfelt plea to include Sherlock), if a villain is dead, leave him dead! Don't let him get up for a final bow or a cliffhanger, even as a recording. Otherwise all that's gone before is about as convincing as Bobby Ewing in the shower!

A gigantic DITTO to everything you just said, Steph! I know I'm behind in watching Bones these days, but if the day comes when Hodgins is gone, I'm gone. No question.
And I really hope Pelant only shows up in someone's nightmare, because there's no way he should be back. (Likewise with the villain on Sherlock, a show which I just totally binge-watched over the last couple weeks for the very first time. Given how he left, that dude does not need to come back.) No "sleight of hand, we were only kidding!" moves from the showrunners, please. Especially not for Pelant. NO MORE PELANT. EVER.
I choose option 3 though it isn't really fair to the writers to call it nasty. They wrote this episode months before they knew about season 11. It was shot in late March/early April, when none of the actors, well other than John Boyd, had contracts for season 11 and they had no idea which way FOX was leaning when it came to renewal. It was all a setup for the "season finale/series finale" they were forced to write because they had no clue what was going to happen. But I can guarantee you that TJ isn't going anywhere. He has a contract for season 11 so he'll be there. Michaela Conlin has a contract for season 11.
As for Pelant, because I don't read a lot of spoilers, all I can go on is the promo for next week, it looks like he's on video. So not returned from the dead, but someone else pulling the strings I suppose, using Pelant as a way to get to them? I absolutely don't want him back either. ICK.

The only thing that concerns me is that a contract doesn't necessarily guarantee we'll see his character very often. Sending Hodgins and Angela to Paris might mean we don't see them very often. They already did the "live in Paris during the hiatus and have them come back immediately in the first episode of the next season," so I don't imagine they'll do that again. There have been actors on other shows that are still under contract but only used for a small number of episodes or in very brief scenes, especially when the showrunners want to "shake things up." I don't want that to happen with TJ - I want him to have interesting, meaty, fun stuff to do. Otherwise it's boring for him, and it's no fun for me as a viewer!
But then, if I had it my way, the show would have a lot more Hodgins-related stories on it. Nobody listens to me.
No, but some other things (that I cannot put here LOL) pretty much say he'll be there in the lab, as always. TJ also said there is a "twist" in the finale that kind of changes things for them so don't worry, we'll see as much of him as we ever did. Besides, just because they've done it before doesn't mean we won't see it again, they've already done this whole I want to live in Paris thing before and it didn't stop them from using it again. LOL
