Great to hear that, Steph!

OK! Last post for today! Got to prepare for the OSCAR night! Anybody else gonna watch it, too? It starts at 2.30 am here in Germany, but I always watch it! So I´ll go to bed early today. Normally I watch it with a friend, but this year it is not possible.

See you all next sunday!

Oscar night? When? I have either missed it or they haven't shown it here yet.
Well, I do not feel too bad about it because we have a totally spring-like day and everybody is outside enjoying the sun; families on all sorts of wheels. We had a long walk and will repeat it later, after the lunch nap. Ah, my bateries are loading - my time is coming.
Hey, I have totally forgotten to mention that I love comedies; Everybody loves Raymond, Will & Grace, Dharma & Greg, According to Jim. We used to be huge fans of the BBC's Only fools and horses and still are of the Monty Python's Flying Circus. Did not like Friends, Cosby Show nor The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air which they re-run continuously. Am also in love with British crime shows.
Lately, I am watching quite a lot of animated films - Pixar's are the best. Have you seen their short films? For the birds is killing me. I saw it for the first time about 4 years ago, in an open-air cinema on one of the most popular Croatian islands - Pag, and they were showing it before the Monsters Inc. Some kids, my husband and I. I was rolling on the floor and those kids were a bit puzzled by my insane behaviour. I loved it, what can I say.
I believe TJ has given his, mmmm, sexy voice to one of the animated characters, hasn't he? Why not again? Why stop at that - I am pretty sure he's a good singer. What do you think?

Catylin, I will rembember your offer to baby-sit.

Hi hi hi, this long walk was a success - Jan fell asleep without any objection.

This is all for now. Until later.

and sorry that I post again but I realized I forgot to say hi to Kate, I haven't welcomed her since she introduced in here. :P Your sundays are definitely more fun than mines, and well it helps the fact that is spring and everybody is outside right?

And I'm going to watch the oscars too. But here in Argentina the red-carpet edition starts at 9:30 pm. so I still have some time... :D

YAY!!! I'm so happy for your son! It's great that he's able to play on it a little bit now. I hope that he doesn't injure it again and he heals well and completely!!!
Though i have a bit of bad news. Last night i was playing at a pick up soccer game, as i do every Saturday, and i rolled my ankle pretty badly. At first it didn't hurt much, but now (a day later), the pain is starting to set in. I won't be able to do anything on it now, but hopefully in a week or so, it'll be better so i can start the season. This was also really bad timing because the season starts in a couple weeks. I won't be able to do pre-season training, but maybe with lots of rest and hope, my ankle will heal up by the start of season!!!

Cool! Steph, you make teddy bears?? I guess i knew that before, but i guess it slipped my mind. :D You must send us pictures of a few! Show off those wonderful talents!!

And Kate, as catylin already mentioned, you must show us some pictures of your adorable son!! He sounds amazing just by your descriptions.

And oscars. I must so scour the tv for that.

And they don't show American idol in the UK, Croatia, Germany, Argentina, or anywhere like that do they? I mean since it is called American Idol, not international idol. Has anybody from the US, or whoever, been watching it? David Archuleta is sooo cute!!!!!

until next time

Hey! I just wanted to give a great, big, welcoming shout-out to all of the new 'fans' on our comfy sofa!!! I'm trying to catch up on all the names. I'm horrible with names

I feel so sad for not having been on here all week. I've been so busy with the new jobs that my head is spinning. Along w/ my normal job, I got a job through Showtime as a PR and sales exec promoting this season's shows at local cable companies. It's only, like, every other weekend, but I'm excited about it! But as a bonus, I caught a bad cold (again). I have my trusty box of Puffs with aloe and vicks beside me as we speak...er type!

I've decided to forgo looking for another rad tech job until after I move to FL with my guy at the end of summer. I am so ready to get out of TN for a while!
Anyway, I hope everyone has fun watching the Oscars tonight!
 Brightest Blessings!

Hi everyone.

Kate the Oscars haven't started yet, so you didn't miss them. I guess if they show them live they'd be in the early morning hours like for Simone? Ah I just looked it up, 9 hours difference between LA and Zagreb so that'd be 2 am for you as well! I think I'd just record them. But then I live in the US and I record them so I don't have to watch the bits I don't like!!

Congrats to Catylin for being an extra in that movie. I've never heard of it but that isn't surprising. ;) Have fun!!

Steph good news about your son. So glad he is recovering and getting back into playing soccer! :D

I failed a chemistry test yesterday. Actually I don't know what my grade is but I'm pretty sure I failed it. Even the two smart guys in my class (whom I smartly chose as my lab partners 8) ) said the test was really hard. The one had A's on all four tests in Chem I and after the test he was saying he'd have to take the final this time. The prof exempts you from the final if you get A's on the four tests throughout the semester.

Dohee they DO show American Idol in other countries. I know they show it in the UK because my British friends talk about it. Funny because I don't watch it but they discuss it in our e-mails. LOL They get the shows later though, so not as ours are showing, maybe a week or two off I think? Since I'm not a fan I am never sure how far behind they are.

XRayVixen (sorry I don't remember what your real name is???) I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. I hate having colds. They are sooooo annoying. Get better soon!

Finally I went through all the new posts! Wow, when you are here only once a week it takes really long!
Really enjoyed OSCAR-night! Jon Stewart is a great host. But I have seen better OSCAR-shows. It was great to see Clive Owen there. Hope he feels better! George Clooney was great, too - as always!
OK, gotta go! Bought CSI - season 5 and wanna watch a few episodes! :)

Wow, it took me a while to catch up on this thread! Seems everyone's been having a great time here on the sofa. Awesome. :D

First off, a belated "WELCOME to the Sofa!" from me to Catylin and Kate! It was marvelous to read more about you, where you're from, what your interests entail. I echo what Steph said so much more eloquently, how truly lovely it is to see so many intelligent, creative, interesting people find their way here. Ah yes, music and singing and writing and reading and theatre interests... LOVE that! (Actually, everyone here seems to have fascinating and fun facets, whether it's a literary, music or theatre interest, or science, or sports, or whatever! It's great to meet such a variety of people.)

Now, let's see if I can catch up on some of the replies I missed...

Anna (XrayVixen), how are you feeling now? Is your cold all gone? I hope everything is great where you are. I send apologies -- I still owe you some comments. I especially enjoyed reading your MySpace blog entitled "The Other Woman." It was clever and thought-provoking. I'll speak more about it when I comment on your site. This week, I'll find the time, I do promise that. *smiles*

Steph, I was so glad to hear that your son's doing better. How's his physical therapy going? Still seeing improvement, step by step?

CROactive wrote:He does not stop talking, saying unbelievably funny stuff with this tiny cartoon-like voice. He looks like a doll - perfect little face with big eyes and loooooong eye lashes. He enjoys very much when I call him a Gentleman.
Kate, your son sounds adorable!

And P.S. I loved reading those bits about your country. I'll definitely have to make time to check out the link you provided, so I can learn even more.

catylin wrote:I have some very exciting news...ahhhhh!!! so I was chosen to be an extra on the movie based on my favorite book series at the moment!!! ahhhh!!!
A hearty congratulations, Catylin! Sounds fun. When do you get to be a part of the filming?

Simone, the play and musical you saw sounded wonderful. I'm glad you got the chance to go to London again and enjoy yourself. In fact, I covet your Kevin Spacey theatre tickets. ;) I really loved his work in L.A. Confidential.

P.S. Was there some amazing dancing in the Billy Elliot musical? I loved the film version. It was such a moving, unique story, and Jamie Bell and Julie Walters were fantastic.

bonesaddict11 wrote:Btw, does anyone here watch prison break? I just watched the season finale, and i can't help but notice how they always leave you hanging. Especially the season finale, shouldn't they end it off all nice and pretty? Instead, they give you the biggest cliffhanger of all. Well, i guess that's just how they get people to watch it more. Anyone here a prison break fan?
Hi, Dohee! I confess I'm a bit behind on the S3 episodes of Prison Break, but yes, I do watch the show. One thing I can say about that program... they always keep me guessing. As crazy and ludicrous as the premise is, I never know how they're going to get out of each situation, from one scene or episode to the next. I guess that's all part of the fun. But I haven't seen the finale yet, so don't tell me don't tell me don't tell me! *GRIN*
willowwood wrote:Sherry! Love the video. I adore all of that snow you've had over there. I keep bugging Callieach over her weather (as she to, and still is having bucket loads of snow) cause I would love for it to snow over here, well for longer than half an hour or so anyway, cause I really do love it...even if I would probably end up slipping and falling on my ass *grin*. I just think there's something about snow that makes everything feel different, and I guess I like that feeling....
You're not wrong, Wil. As much as I'm ready for Spring to come so I can get outside and enjoy some fresh air, there are times when the snow really is beautiful and comforting and entrancing. Especially when it's floating down softly, so pretty. And oftentimes kind of romantic. Depends on how you view it, I suppose. Hee.

And by the way? In the snow, everyone falls on their ass at least once or twice in a lifetime, heh. In fact, I went for a walk in the snow a couple winters ago, and didn't see a patch of ice... you guessed it, I had the most graceless fall one has probably ever seen. Arms and legs going every which way. I'm sure it looked hilarious. Unfortunately I've had several injuries to my left ankle over the years, so at first I was afraid I'd reinjured myself, but instead I found I'd created a brand new injury instead. I badly sprained the tendon or muscles or whatever runs along the bottom of the foot. Blah blah something fascia. LOL. It took forever to heal because, you know, you kind of need to put weight on the bottom of your foot in order to, you know, walk. haha Honestly, it was one of the most excruciating pains I've ever felt. When I put weight on my foot, it was agonizing, and when I tried to lift my foot up so that I could hop over and sit down, just the simple act of taking my weight off my foot was just as horrible. It was what I imagine it feels like to have someone rip the bottom of your foot off. Yeah, that was fun. (/sarcasm here) I swear, it took me a good year before I no longer felt stress on the bottom of my foot if I spent too much time standing or walking. I can finally work out more seriously again. But I confess, I'm still leery about going for walks outside during the winter. I don't ever want to go through that again. It took too long to heal. Very frustrating.

willowwood wrote:...about the writing job, have you heard anything back from them yet? I really hope you get it, even though I'll be insanely jealous. What kind of writing is it you'd be doing? More creative or professional stuff??
Thanks so much for asking about that. I really appreciate your encouragement, all of you!

Sadly, the day I sent in my writing samples, they took down the job posting. Seems they'd already hired someone. :( I'm not sure how long the job had already been up on the site, I'd only just seen the posting, so I guess they'd already been in the process of interviewing. I missed out! Bad timing. But I sent them my writing samples anyway and told them if they found they needed another writer, to please keep me in mind. *shrugs* Not meant to be, I guess.

I'll have to keep looking elsewhere, and keep writing for my own enjoyment and improvement. And make my own path.

I admit, 2007 stomped me down more than a bit (see early pages of this thread for my ridiculous job saga), so I'm feeling a bit lost right now. *sigh* I try to remain positive and hopeful, but I confess I'm frustrated and tense today. Sometimes I feel like I need a major change, something to shake me out of this and get me going in a strong positive new direction. I just don't know HOW. That's the part that bogs me down.

GAH. Okay, enough of this melancholy! Moving on...

skftex wrote:So Sherry, which West Wing character did you write about? Have I ever mentioned that I'm obsessed with The West Wing??
Hi, Sharon! Sorry to hear you were struggling with one of your tests. Sounds like it was difficult for everyone, though, so you shouldn't be so hard on yourself. What do you have to do next for that class?

As for The West Wing... no, I don't think I knew that you were a fan of that show. Yay, I'm delighted to hear it! I love finding WW fans! Who's your favorite character? Do you have a favorite episode? (That's a difficult question, actually. Like with Bones, there are many good ones.)

I didn't start watching that show until third or fourth season, but caught up when Bravo channel started rerunning the show from the very beginning. I was immediately a fan of Josh (played by Bradley Whitford) -- then again, who wasn't a fan of Josh? Heh. But when I saw the episodes "Mr. Willis of Ohio" and "In Excelsis Deo," I saw something new and interesting in Toby Ziegler (Richard Schiff). I know it sounds odd, especially because he's such a cantankerous character, but Toby really spoke to me. I felt like I could understand him (as much as anyone can, really). And for some reason, his character really stuck with me.

I hadn't written anything in probably five years, hadn't even heard of fan fiction, but when I did a little research on the show itself, I came across some fan fiction, browsed a bit, and then I decided to write a little piece about Toby, just to test the waters, see if I even wanted to write again. See if I even could write. It was wonderful -- I sat down at my computer in the morning on a Saturday and I don't think I moved from that spot all day. I finished the piece around 9 PM, and it finally dawned on me, why I loved writing all those years ago and I realized how much I needed to find time to bring that creative interest back into my life. In whatever way I could.

I'm still trying to improve as much as possible. I've got lots to learn. But I do love writing very much. And Toby Ziegler is a fascinating character to me. I wrote a piece that took place immediately following the events of "In Excelsis Deo," I've also written a quick 155-word piece involving CJ Cregg and Toby (after he was forced out of the White House, how that affected their friendship), and I've written a brief piece involving Josh and Donna (after the episode "No Exit"). That one was a fun departure from my Toby 'fixation.' *GRIN*

The piece I'm currently editing is one I wrote three years ago, a story I've always wanted to go back and improve/fix. It's five vignettes from a Toby point of view, based on the events surrounding the attempted assassination of President Bartlet (covering the time period spanning these episodes: "What Kind of Day Has It Been"; "In the Shadow of Two Gunmen" parts I & II; and "The Midterms").

I call it "Scenes from Hell." *very big grin* I'd love to hear your thoughts on it, once I'm done editing the piece, if you're interested in reading it, Sharon. (Ooh, that makes me nervous... I haven't shared any of my fiction writing with anyone in a while!)

late_heart wrote:It's been awhile since I wandered over here, and now I know I need to do it more often -- because *this* is where Sherry goes!

Wait a minute -- what?! :D

Annie, how did I miss this comment of yours? I'm clearly behind in reading this thread. LOL.

If anything, I'm apt to follow wherever YOU go! You're such a talented writer. I really need to go to your LiveJournal site and read more of your work. And I'll send you thorough feedback, I promise! ;) Seriously, you know I will.

(Speaking of feedback, I owe some to you lovely writers on Wil and Callie's bugs_n_ slime site. All in good time, I assure you.)

By the way, Annie, I adored what you had to say about the moon, earlier in this thread. Some evenings when I come home, I stop and stand outside and just breathe in the night air and look up at the stars and the moon... it gives me such a sense of calm and peace. I really love it. The moon is GORGEOUS, especially when she's all full and fall harvest orange. It's such a beautiful sight, truly. Breathtaking and inspiring.

late_heart wrote:Besides, this is much cozier than MySpace, which I still can't figure out. I keep trying though, and posting long, windy rants to exactly four people: one that I live with, two that have already heard every story I've ever told, and Sherry (but that's only because Will hasn't answered my friend request yet...prolly because she's heard it all over on el jay).

So I'm thinkin' I should make myself comfortable on the sofa, if there's room.
Personally, I've enjoyed your MySpace 'rants' thus far. They're bold and entertaining. And all new to me. Hee. Keep on writing!

In fact, I'm glad you're all here! And Annie's right, it is cozy. Pull up a pillow and stay awhile. Let's get to talking, everyone! And maybe TJ will grace us with his hilarious, energetic presence again sometime soon. *big grin*

Ooo, that has definitely got to suck. And to be injured for a year? That has got to be torture. With my sprained ankle, i've only been out for a week (so far), and i've been itching to get back to my daily activities. Injuries are a pain in the ass. Steph, you would know, with your son and all. Speaking of, how is he doing?

Spring Break!!!!! Next week!!!!! yay!!! no school for a week!!!   I don't know about you guys over on the other side of the world, but its getting a lot warmer here and i'm planning on spending my spring break chillin and hangin out with my friends!! :D
Anybody have any special plans for spring break (if you even have one :) )?

You said it, sister! ;) Actually, for me that particular injury wasn't a constant pain for a whole year... it healed probably within a couple of months (my podiatrist said it's one of the most troublesome sports injuries to get because it runs along the bottom of the foot and therefore takes forever to heal because we have to use that area on a constant basis). But for a good year, I did feel a tension or soreness here and there when I would do certain workouts or spend too much time on my feet or walk too long or too far. It was an annoyance, for the exact reason you mention -- I was itching to get back to what I'd been doing before. That, and I had to stop doing certain workouts for a while because it would hurt too much. That really sucked, because two of them were my favorite things to do. Stupid ice, stupid snow.

I hope your ankle heals quickly! Be careful, though. I sprained my ankle pretty badly playing soccer during high school, and ever since then, no matter what I do, I've noticed that ankle is weaker than the other. Hence, the repeated sprains (and one tendon injury) to that poor ankle, over the years. I'd like to say each injury occurred in the midst of some kick-ass awesome sports maneuver, but honestly, it was only the first injury that happened like that... the rest have been from stupid, embarrassing stuff.

Have a FANTASTIC Spring Break, Dohee!

 That is what i am most afraid of. I've been warned that once you sprain an ankle, the ankle gets weaker. But don't worry! I'll be sure to be extra careful this time!!!

Hi everyone!

I think I might have missed some messages so I'll have to go back and read them.

XRayVixen, glad you are feeling better! I understand about the stuffy nose, I seem to have a constant runny one in the winter. Luckily the winter is not so bad here.

Dohee, sorry you sprained your ankle, I think that is one of the messages I missed! Anyway, I've had sprained ankles before and they seem to have healed right up and are strong (enough ;)) because I did what the doctor said (and not try to walk on it all the time). So hopefully your ankle will be just as strong as ever.

Hi to Caityln and congrats for getting in the movie. I have a niece name Caitlin. Is your name said the same way or is it like KatyLynn? or maybe Kate-a-lyn. :?: :?:

Hi Sherry, yes, I'm a HUGE The West Wing fan. Loooooove it. And each time I watch it I see things I didn't the first time (just like Bones!). My favorite character is probably Josh but as you said, who doesn't love Josh? But I also reallllllllllllyyyyyyy love Toby! I was a bit disappointed with the season 7 arc for him because I have a hard time believing the guy that had fits about things whenever someone did something wrong could do something like that. I know they tried to say he would do it because of his brother but I don't think so. And I liked Leo. Leo was an interesting guy. But really my two favorites are Josh and Toby. Toby is so funny!!

Anyway, wow, favorite episode..that is hard. I'll have to think about it, but I doubt I'll be able to come up with just one. One of them is definitely In Excelsis Deo though. I just watched that on Saturday!!! Oooh and Noel! Maybe I have a thing about Christmas episodes. HEE I recently started watching them from the beginning (again). The next one I watch will be Take This Sabbath Day.

I will say I am not much for fan fiction, but that is because a lot of it feels "wrong" to me. Things coming out of the characters mouths that just don't fit. Does that make sense? I have seen some good stuff though, that seem to really get the feeling of the characters but I rarely seek out fan fiction. I would love to read your story though, if/when you feel like sharing it.

Hi to Kate as well though I'm not sure what you are up to, and of course Steph and Simone and everyone else I've forgotten to mention (not on purpose I promise!)!

Oh, almost forgot, I failed that chemistry test but then so did the really smart guy! But then there were people that got A's on it, and some that got zero points (or so the teacher said-he didn't say names just told us the range of grades.) !! Luckily he drops the lowest grade so I can work harder on the next test and MAYBE get a higher grade. I hope. I spend ALOT of time with chemistry but it isn't something that comes easy to me. My big problem is I forget the formulas even though I knew them before the test!  We did a lab on Saturday and then he lectured. Thats pretty much how each week goes. But he did say he might give us a quiz on the problems most people missed so I need to work on those to be ready for it, it'll count as extra credit! WOO HOO!!

And today was my second calculus test and it was HARD but I THINK I did ok. It took the full 2 hours to take it and boy did I have a headache afterward.

I need to go now, but remind me that I really need to vent to you about my programming teacher. LOL

Hey Caitlin,
I'm listening to Maria Mena right now... she's gooooooood. Thanks for pointing to her.

The weather over here got bad; rain and cold wind. Better to stay home, run a hot bath and listen to Ms Mena :)

Hi, all!

Kate -- sorry to hear about the sudden switch in weather. Stay warm! Days like that, I prefer a yummy chai tea latte or a hot cocoa, a cuddly blanket and a good book or DVD. I hope you get the chance to relax even for a little bit. With your little one, I'm sure it's not easy to make time for yourself.

Catylin -- thanks for hugs and well wishes! I'm sure everyone here appreciates them. You are a vivacious energy here, and I think it's terrific.

And ... Yay! Sharon's back!

Sorry to hear about the test, Sharon. Stupid Chemistry. ;) I admit, it was my worst subject. I got a C in my final semester of it (because I got a D on the final... a grade I'd never gotten on a high school final ever before, so I was pretty upset with myself). Serves me right for jumping right to Advanced Chemistry instead of taking regular Chemistry first. My sister did it, so of course I was ridiculous and had to try to do everything she did, prove I was just as smart. Turns out... not in Chemistry! Good luck on your extra credit quiz! *waves pom-poms* You can do it!

Dohee, sorry you sprained your ankle, I think that is one of the messages I missed! Anyway, I've had sprained ankles before and they seem to have healed right up and are strong (enough ;)) because I did what the doctor said (and not try to walk on it all the time).
*ahem* Yeahhhh... I tend to get impatient and want to jump right back in and do what I was able to do before the injury, so in my case I probably didn't help myself much. Heh.

Therefore, Dohee, listen to Sharon's words of wisdom! *GRIN*

Sharon, I can't tell you how deeeelighted I am to read that you enjoy the Toby character. Like Hodgins (and TJ) is my man on Bones, Toby (and Richard Schiff) is my man for The West Wing. Though I will say what's great about a show like that is how every character (and each talented actor on the program) gets his or her moment, depending on the episode. Josh is a very close second, and Leo is wonderful (aw, man... John Spencer... my heart aches for missing him and his magnificent talent), but most of all I love the subtleties that Richard Schiff puts into his character.

For example, the quick flash of an appreciative look he gets on his face when he's watching CJ do her press conference and she diverts the journalists' attention by cracking a joke about the President getting dissed by twelve guys named Flippy ("Post Hoc, Ergo Propter Hoc"). It's at first surprising and striking because Toby rarely smiles. It's an expression that's subtle but endearing, because you can see that they have a history, CJ and Toby, a friendship, and in that moment he not only looks upon her with amusement but also admiration and respect for her abilities within the job. And we see all of that with just one simple brief look he gives her in that moment. I LOVE that!

There's something very special about an actor who can do those things. That's why I adore TJ and his work on Bones. He does that so often, too. He has the ability to express himself with a very small, simple look or gesture that says SO much. It's hugely impressive. Ah, TJ... :D

I was a bit disappointed with the season 7 arc for him because I have a hard time believing the guy that had fits about things whenever someone did something wrong could do something like that. I know they tried to say he would do it because of his brother but I don't think so.
Oh my gosh, THANK YOU for saying that! I've been saying that ever since the writers took that direction. There is simply no way Toby Ziegler would ever do such a thing. I know they thought it would be ironic, because he is probably the most idealistic character, especially when it comes to the importance of respect for the office and its process, but... I'm sorry, there is NO way Toby would break that kind of law. I read that the actor, Richard Schiff, felt the same way and was apparently greatly disappointed with that story decision. In my view, Toby would have felt horrible that there was nothing within the bounds of the law that he could do, and he'd have felt extra guilty because of what previously happened to his brother. The Toby I know would have been in a very dark mood and as a result he'd have spent a lot of time in a dark room with a bottle of Jack Daniels, brooding over the whole mess. I despise that decison. Damn it, John Wells! ;)

No, it makes sense. When I first started surfing to find out more about the show itself, I had never heard of such a thing. And as I'm sure you've discovered, there are so many different types and styles and angles people choose to take, some more daring and out-of-bounds than others. I came across all this fan fiction, and I didn't know what to make of it. Though I could understand the concept of wanting to write something about a favorite character, especially if as a viewer I felt something was missing in the actual episode or I wished to see them take a smarter direction. But you're right, sometimes you have to weed through a lot of badly written, poorly characterized fiction in order to find the 'good stuff' (that could probably be said about regular, published fiction too, ha). But I have come across some writers who really 'get' the characters, not just for West Wing but other shows too, including Bones. In fact, I just read something by Lostakasha (late_heart, here on this site) that I felt was a marvelous characterization of Jack Hodgins and Angela Montenegro. When reading those types of stories, I find I can really enjoy fan fiction.

I'm still working on editing that one piece I mentioned, here and there as I try to make time for it, so I'll have to let you know when it's finally ready. Thanks for being so supportive, Sharon!

On a side note, it's funny you mentioned not liking what they did with Toby's character in season 7. Because of that, and because I didn't like how CJ pretty much dismissed him (hello, her best friend!) in order to distance herself because of her new position at the White House, not long after Toby's final episode aired, I wrote a quick piece (only 155 words) to address that. In my view, she would have come to him eventually and apologized for her behavior, especially because it would turn out that he hadn't done it. I could share that piece with you, if you like, because it was written long ago and surprisingly I feel no huge need to edit that one. ;)

It's not TJ-related though, so I feel funny about posting it here, even if this thread is the 'offtopic sofa.' Therefore, if you would like to read it, let me know... perhaps I could private message it to you. Or, if others here are curious to read it too, perhaps I could post it to my LiveJournal so you all can access it. Let me know what you think.

Okay, I've got to get some work done. Have fun watching those episodes, Sharon! "Take This Sabbath Day"... ooh, that's a good one. Thought-provoking and intense, yet they manage to balance it with great humor, through Josh. Good stuff.

Now, tell us about your programming teacher! ;)

Did anyone else notice that yesterday, for a period of time, the boards were not working? It said they were updating something or changing something. I'm not sure.

I felt so disconnected!!! :(

Yeah I know, actually it was nearly 2 days I think, I've not been able to get in since Tuesday. It said it was coming back online at 11am pst but, hohum, waited until then and, sure enough....nothing happened.

Of course I haven't been in to post because I am suffocating under work admin, but I did want to connect with you all on my birthday and say hi. In fact in my time zone my b'day is nearly over and I've only been back online here since mid-evening *sulky pout*.

What was really worrying me was that we might be closed down for TJ's birthday, now that would have sucked, I think they'd have had a revolt on their hands. Still. Here we are. Great to see you all again!
