I have a question... what are these msn and yahoo bots?
at first I thought someone else was on here with me, then not so much.
Just a little confused :confusion-scratchheadyellow:

Kayleigh they are crawlers that go through the web collecting information about websites, most likely to be used (in msn, yahoo, and googles case anyway) to help with cataloging for searches on those particular sites.

OK, two things I'd like to tell you! Very excited about it! :happy-bouncyyellow:
First - guess where I was last weekend. Come on, make a wild guess! :D I was in London! And guess what I did there. Yeah, tough question, I know! I was in the theatre! And guess what play I watched. "The Misanthrope" with DAMIAN LEWIS!!!! :happy-partydance: That was so cool!!! :happy-smileygiantred: Oh, he is so great! I already love him in "LIFE", but live on stage he was fantastic!!! It was a bit spontaneous. I just needed something to look forward to, and I was lucky to catch a cheap flight - and I also catched a front row seat for the play! :D :happy-jumpgreen: That was such a great weekend! I was so sad that I had to cancel my trip to Cardiff, but that weekend helped a lot! And I hope to catch John by the end of this year in Glasgow.
Second - I have an interview this week. I am a bit nervous about it, and of course I see it very realistic. It's my first interview in years and I don't have high hopes, but it never hurts to go and see what happens! And I'll get a bit practice. Gonna tell you how it turned out at the end of the week! Really excited about it!
That's it! :D
Take care! Simone.

Oh, Sharon, love your new avatar btw! :)

The interview went well. At least I think that. You never know what they make of the answers you give them to some strange questions. If they still interested in me, they will invite me for a second interview and after that they will decide who will get the job. So, let's wait for the recall!  In the meantime I will write some other applications.
Thanks, Sharon, for the crossed fingers. :romance-smileyheart:

Sitting here watching "LIFE" and hoping to get a new job, soon! Don't wanna go to work tomorrow. We'll get a new boss. Let's see how he will turn out!
Hope you all had a great weekend! I was in the cinema yesterday with a friend. We watched "Sherlock Holmes". Robert Downey jr. is so hot! I love him. He and Jude Law are a great team and I really look forward to the sequel!
Take care! Simone.

Man, I've got a cold again... and had the stupid idea to use the saltwater nose-spray because it's the only one I've got here and it's supposed to be good. HUGE mistake. For the last fifteen minutes (since I used it) my nose feels like it's on fire and tears are running down my cheek because it hurts so much. Note to myself: Never use it again and buy another one tomorrow...

 Recover soon Akarana!!!

Here are my own latest news, just to let you know what's going on and why I can't be as often online as I would love to...

:| So, I've been unemployed from the 1st february, got the news from my boss saying he won't keep me due to financial problems in the fabric 2 weeks before...
Right now, I'm trying to find a work BUT in the countryside it's almost impossible.
:( So I keep looking, I'm very busy with all this, also preparing my house if I have to sell it (sometimes some sacrifices are necessity...), still have my part time job at the swimming pool, but it's not enough of course.

:?: SO! Today I have 2 options:
1) I keep on trying to live here in the country side, finally find a job (who knows when...) and keep the little house of my dreams with the garden and the peacefull streets.
2) I sell here, stop all this and find a work in Paris area, try to have an appartment (with all the difficulties I've already faced past year) and if it works nicely I can be finaly "free" of all my problems.

 Yet, I still haven't taken any decision, I'm exploring both possibilities and trying to clear my mind to make the right choice...

 So, sorry if I can't be online, I don't want to stay too long far from you all, I love the place and how friendly you all are.
Just needed to tell you how glad I am to be part of this site and to apologize for my silences which are due to some little troubles which I hope will find a big solution soon.

Catch you all up soon!!!

Thanks for all :)

*brings Akarana some soothing tea* Get some good rest and feel better soon!

Véro, I'm so sorry to hear about the job situation. As someone who has been out of work for longer than I care to say, I understand how scary and frustrating it can be. And to have to make such difficult decisions... I don't envy you that.

I hope you find whatever makes you most happy and fulfilled in life. Good luck, and let us know how things are going whever you are able.

Feel better soon, Arakana :) I'd try some tea- it always seems to help me. And, yuck. Nasal spray? I couldn't do it. That and eye drops. Haha.

And I agree, Vero, I hope things improve for you, and I'm sorry about the work situation. I'm having the hardest time finding a job as of late... No one seems to want to hire right now.
Keep us posted!

And now for my update.
Last year, I lost my grandmother to lung cancer(on my fathers' side).
It was in February.
Now, about a week ago, we get a call. My mothers' mother has had Alzhiemer's for about 13 years. Anyone who knows about Alzhiemer's knows that it's extremely advanced at this stage, and many functions are severely hindered, if not lost. She cannot speak, except to mumble at random intervals. She cannot sit up; her motor functions are nearly nonexistant.
Clearly, my grandfather could not take care of her himself; it's a very expensive- not to mention taxing, for all- disease. So the family all pitches in to keep her in a close-to-home nursing home.
One of the nurses, during a routine checkup, found a lump on her breast.
The usual course would be a mammagram. Seeing as how she cannot even sit up, that's out of the question. Then they suggested surgery, but the medication she has, and how fragile she is, also make it highly likely the anesthesia, paired with invasive surgery, would kill her. Next choice was chemo/radiation. In short, that also could kill her. So then we have the ability to just let it go, and hope that it's benign.
Nonetheless, things are rather... hard around here.
So pair that with not being able to find a job, having a car, but no money to get it up and running, and no job for the money.... vicious circle... and it's just, well, awful.
Now I'm just whining. I just felt like I could get it out on here, as no one else ever listens.

I think that's about it.

I am so so sorry that you are all in these horrid situations. If only I could do more than just sit and listen with the odd cyberhug. I mean, the people on this board really do mean a lot to me and I am positively agog that so many seem to think of it as somewhere they can go where they can trust others and be cared for. It stuns and humbles me.

Just want to say that I think of you all very often and shake my head very hard when I start feeling sorry for myself because there's an inspection going on at school (which there is at the moment) or some other thing that really is just a pain in the butt and nothing like a true stress or worry.

Take care of yourselves and keep coming to tell us how things are going. You'll always be listened to during the bad times and rejoiced with during the good ones..

kayleigh_marie, I'm so sorry about the health of your grandmother. I wish I knew what to say, but I imagine there's not much that would be of comfort when you get such news on top of already having to see her suffering from Alzheimer's. I will keep her in my most positive and healthy thoughts, and send you strength.

Thanks a lot Sherry, Steph and you Kaleigh_Marie.

Each life is different, so each trouble is different, no matter what, you should never feel guilty to feel bad about something that really bugs you Steph ;) I hope this Inspection will be a good one and so you will be relieved after all :)

Kaleigh_Marie, I know there's nothing we can do to help you, but you know you can always come here and talk whenever you feel like you need to... I send you a huge virtual hug from France to cheer you up :) It's nothing, but it's a true one.

Thank you all for being so great people :) We have true friends here and it's so important.

I must be a huge sap.... Haha. Reading your responses made me almost tear up.

All I can do is thank you from the bottom of my heart. It's wonderful to see that you all care.
*returns hugs*
And just so you know, knowing that people care about my situation helps a lot more than the odd advice I seem to get haha.
Again, thank you so much. I try to stay positive, but stuff like this is kinda depressing.

I hope the inspection goes well, Steph :)

Inspection has paled into triviality.
My husband just got signed off work with clinical depression.
Again. :(
