Hello all,

The last time I checked in I was a to the moon excited mother to be, but the last few days have probably been the definition of an emotional roller coaster ride from hell. I lost the baby. This time to an ectopic (tubular) pregnancy and emergency surgery. I guess it was a good thing that I went to the ultra sound when I did because I was feeling no pain and the tube had already ruptured and I was bleeding quite badly internally. For those who don't know, this is the second baby I have lost.

The good news is that I can try again and maybe even as early as next month, if my husband is ready for it. He took it really hard. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that he almost lost me as well as the baby.

I'm happy to hear that many of you are having wonderful holidays and summers. I hope the rest of summer goes well for you as well.

I can't wait for bones to resume. It is one of only two shows I actually spend the time to watch. I'm not much of a TV monster.

Well I better get going. I am supposed to be resting and I'll tell you that this is about the most boring thing that I have ever had to force myself to do.

Oh Jenny, I'm truly sorry. I can't imagine how that must feel. Thank goodness, though, that things worked out the way they did; and I hope you will heal soon. But don't rush into things - however boring life may currently appear! -as you have suffered a bereavement and surgery into the bargain. You are such a strong person to tease out the positive element in all this - the possibility of trying again.

I am thinking of you and your husband.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss of your child. For someone who doesn't have kids I can't even imagine what you have been through, especially for a second time.

Take the time you need, your body need the rest. Don't force it.

All of my thoughts are with you and your husband in this difficult time.

Hanne, I'll leave very early on saturday. At 9.00 am. So I think I have to go to the airport at around 6.30 am. :( Think I'm gonna take a cab. So no time to do anything that day. It's the only flight I could take that day and no flights on sunday for that price. So, well, it's ok!

Hello everyone!

Guess what? I’m still alive! I know I’ve been very quiet in the last few weeks, but life has been a little hectic… My little brother got married in July, so there was a lot of last minute shopping and planning to do. He had asked me to film during the ceremony, so I spent the next two weeks editing all that footage to end up with a 28-minute souvenir film of his wedding… It was fun, but I’m so glad it’s over, now I don’t have to spend hours staring at the same clips over and over again! By now I know exactly who’s going to blink, smile or do something special, at what time… And all those wedding songs, I can’t get them out of my head… :)

That brings me to say “Kuddos” to TJ for his awesome video!!! I just spent at least 10 hours sifting through the clips from the wedding, trying to find the best ones and editing them to the appropriate length (and I'm not even counting the time to put them together, to fit the music!), so I can imagine all the work he’s done, looking back at 5 years of Bones for his video! I really love the rhythm, the selection of clips, how they are arranged together, this is really AMAZING!!!!! Thanks TJ! And I must say, just like many of you, I did watch it more than once :)

Other than that, I just got back from a 4-day weekend, traveling down to Philadelphia, Atlantic City and New York City… Some people call that “vacations” – I call it “crazy idea!” It was fun, but I really need to remind myself than I’m getting too old to drive 2000km, alone, in three days!

That’s about it for me lately… While I didn’t really have a chance to post much in the last month, I still managed to check in at least once or twice a day to read your posts, so I’m not too far behind in the news. I hope I’ll have a chance to see you soon in the chat box!

Take care!

Jenny, I am so, so sorry. *GIGANTIC COMFORTING HUGS*

Thank goodness you got it checked in time. I bet it was very scary for both you and your husband (and your family). I'm very relieved that you're okay. Take extra special care of yourself right now! Forum orders. ;)

Now.... how may we entertain you while you're on 'rest' time? :D

Jenny: I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine. Please take your time and get some rest, it will happen!

Got back from Florida late Sunday night after a neverending 13-hour car ride with the kids which made me  Other than that it was great :D . It was so nice to get away from everything. I really did not check the computer once while I was gone which is a record for me! The trip is making me think seriously about moving to Jacksonville, Florida, to be closer to my mom. I miss her too much and feel so at home there. Not just at her house either, the whole area is pretty nice. Lots to think about including the custody arrangement with my kids. Not sure if my ex will go for it or not. He does have a right to fight it since we have joint custody.

I snuck off for a walk on the beach and was oh to go for a jog here every day *sighs.* I haven't felt that content in a long time. The boys loved the beach too. I couldn't keep my 6-year-old out of the water, which was a bit scary for me since a shark bit a surfer's foot (requiring 400 stitches  ) not too far away. Little guy was scared at first but had to be dragged away too at the end of the day.

The only down part was seeing my grandpa who was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's. So sad to seem him so confused and not himself. He's driving my poor grandma crazy because he can't sit still and repeats the same questions over and over. It was especially difficult with my 6-year-old because I had to keep explaining why he likes garages and light switches so much (Autistic). It really threw me to see them like that because they are remarkably healthy otherwise for their late 70s and you think they'll be around forever, you know? Another reason to move closer. My family all seems to be migrating that way so maybe that's a sign to follow.

Hope everyone is doing well, take care!

Ok, so I haven't actually told many people, heck, I didn't even post it on FB for fear of a HUGE bomBARDment of people begging for more details and asking to see..But! I think you guys are sincerely kind :]

SO! I wanted to let you all know the reason I've been less than in a posting mood lately is not for a lack of loving TJ and his work! Rather, 2 Mondays ago I was involved in a very uncommon, very unexpected, very scary accident :(

...I was accidently set on fire..yup, fire. I know! Doesn't that make you mad and sad at the same time?! AHHH! How STUPID people can be, don't they teach fire safety these days? Oii! Don't worry, I'm still alive and all my limbs work(ok, I can't really use my left leg anymore..jk, bad bitter joke lol..) and the fire didn't touch my face(hilariously, the first thing I asked the paramedics when I calmed down was "Are my eyebrows ok" hahaha..)

Anywho, to make a stupid story short, I was hanging out with my best friend's childhood friend at her boyfriend's house(confusing, sorry...the boyfriend of my friend's friend's house, yea.) There were six of us, three girls three boys, all 19-21 y.o., sittin' around the round kitchen table. The boys were being stupid, showing off a metal can-cooking-stove they'd made for camping, lighting matches in it, pouring in denaturized alcohol..yea, stupid I know..There was a huge explosion, a big giant ball of fire came at me like kids to chocolate and there I was- On fire, without a clue what to do. Ah, you'd think in a time of crisis like that you'd have your best survival skills at hand, but no, I was pretty stunned by the flame haha..But, No one else caught, and I escaped with two third degree burns and a few first and second degree burns along my arms and chest. They're healing quite nicely though, I'm thankful the doctors here are so helpful! But, yea, I just wanted to let someone know, soo...Thanks :]

By the way, I really am o.k., And yes- My eyebrows are fine

Wo Ho! Fortunately you are safe!!! Ok for your eyebrows, how about your hairs???

I'm sorry, I know it wasn't funny, but it sounds like a Hodgins experiment :D See??? You miss so much the show you're trying to feel like them :-)

More seriously, I'm glad you are well and please, stay away from ... stupid boys :-)

Hugs!

:o EEK!! Per-leeeease be more careful of yourself Christina! Thinking of you and hoping it's a quick heal.

Glad the eyebrows are ok though. Weren't they going to shave off TJ's eyebrows at one point as a result of a Hodgins experiment?

Nothing new over here. Got my final grades the other day. Got 55/60 credits on my tests. I can get the missing 5 next year.

My holiday plans are cancelled. I was planning a trip to Berlin, but i decided today that i'm not going. I don't know exactly why, but it doesn't feel right.

It's funny, as soon as I was ok to, I went home and watched the episode where our beloved Hodgy burns off his eyebrows haha..Gotta love Bones :D

I think TJ was a little frazzled at the idea of it though, didn't they just color them white/skin tone?
AngMT wrote:OMG Christina! Hope you heal up quickly! It really does sound like something Hodgins would do.

Maybe I'll write him a letter haha, telling all about how he's inspired me to experiment on my own hahaha
OooOOo! Maybe he'd be amazing enough to totally invite me for some real life experimentation  ok, ok, it's a far fetched fantasy lol, but a girl can dream!

Christine! No more experiments where you get injured!

Whew. I'm glad it wasn't more serious. How are you feeling now? *hugs gently*

Years ago I burned my hand pretty badly -- serious blisters and everything -- and that first night it hurt so much I slept with my hand in a bowl of ice water. It didn't help. :D And for at least a week afterward the skin on several fingers was very tight and sore, difficult to bend -- which made it very difficult to type at my job.

Thankfully, it healed nicely and if you look at my hand today you'd never even know I ever had an injury. But it hurt so much I can't ever forget it. I spent that first night in so much agony that I lay there thinking about all the people in the world who had been burned terribly on large portions of their body and I marveled at how they possibly withstood it, given that they had it so much worse than my one hand. I still think about that sometimes.

Anyway... no more dangerous experiments! We like our Tj fans to be as healthy and intact as possible! :naughty:

Ang, I am so sorry about your grandfather. I can only imagine how scary and challenging and sad it must be to see him like that, no longer quite himself. :( *HUGS*

Welcome back, DelphieKat!

Sending hugs to all the rest of you! Hope you are well. :D

I really did start to realize how burns affect so many people, it's crazy thinking about it! I think every day about the people who are burned on the face..how miserable they must feel to have so much pain on such a delicate and personal part of their bodies..I'm so glad that wasn't my case, *sigh*

But thank you everyone! I really appreciate how light you've made the situation feel to me :] It helps, honestly haha, thank you!

Well, I hope you don't think it means we don't care. It isn't a frivolous reaction, it is genuine concern and relief that it wasn't so much worse. Now you look after yourself!!! :romance-caress:
